Where Exactly Is “Out Wickenburg Way”? “Out Wickenburg Way” is a popular expression from back when Wickenburg was about a day’s horeseback ride from Phoenix.

Today, Wickenburg is just a 90-minute drive from downtown Phoenix, Sky Harbor International Airport, and some of the finest golf courses, pro sports venues, resorts, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs in the country.

To get to Wickenburg, take I-17 north and exit at Carefree Highway (State Highway 74); go west on 74 to US 60 and turn north;

take US 60 into downtown Wickenburg. If you’re coming from the Sun Cities or the far West Valley, you can take US 60 all the way to downtown Wickenburg. Monte Vista Ranch is about one mile north of downtown Wickenburg on Highway 89/93, on your left.
